EVENT

Please join us for a lively discussion with two of the shining stars of Inclusion: Donna Dey from University of Dundee, and Archie Graham from University of Aberdeen.  Both guest speakers are members of the Scottish Universities Inclusion Group, which produced the excellent National Framework for Inclusion.

The discussion will touch on: the impact of UNCRC on teacher practice, teaching in a rights-based education system, the aspects of initial teacher education that facilitate the development of rights-respecting and inclusive practices, and the value of Experience, Reflection & Collaboration on teacher practice.

We look forward to having you attend the event!

Creating learning environments that uphold children’s rights, promote equity, and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging for all learners is central to Scottish education. This introductory webinar in collaboration with Time for Inclusive Education (TIE) explores the principles of LGBT inclusive education in Scotland and its role in promoting wellbeing within educational settings.

Whether you are new to LGBT inclusive education or looking to strengthen your understanding, this webinar offers a supportive space to learn, reflect, and begin your journey towards creating more inclusive educational environments.

This session serves as the first event in our LGBT Inclusive Education series and provides a foundation for deeper exploration in future workshops and webinars.

This Inclusive Practice Expert Panel focuses on inclusive teaching within classroom contexts, using research informed questions to explore how inclusive practice is enacted in everyday teaching and learning.
